In December 2010, Justin Haas, who had been playing paintball for 7 years wanted to start a paintball team with a different emphasis.  He had been playing paintball since he was 10 and wanted to bring other youths he knew into the sport.  He wanted  more emphasis on raising up younger kids, more emphasis on integrity and honor, and an emphasis on playing passionately just for the love of it.  Houston Legends  is the result of that desire.

Houston Legends began in December 2010 with just 2 players, Justin Haas and Connor Carroll.  It soon grew to 16 members.  During the 2011 we overcame many injuries, and managed to place respectfully in every event.  Our goal was to not just play local events.  There were already an abundance of teams doing that.  We wanted to make an impact regionally and nationally.  We played in Kentucky, Tennessee, Texas, Florida, and Oklahoma. (We would have played in Illinois had it not been for injuries). Currently Houston Legends plays in the D4 division.  Our goal is to earn enough points to move up a division every single year.

Houston Legends has just completed it’s first  season.  Our accomplishments are as follows:

2nd Place AXBL Southwest event #1

6th Place SEPS event #2

8th Place AXBL Southwest event #2

10th Place AXBL Southwest event #3

4th Place MSXL Championships

29th Place PSP World Cup

Our greatest accomplishment does not reflect above and it is the one we are most proud of.  Out of more than 120 games this season the Houston Legends team had only 3 major penalties, and 2 minors.  We have managed to raise up the next generation of paintballers on integrity and honor.   We have over 20 kids between the ages of 11 and 14 we are coaching and mentoring.

As Houston Legends moves into its second season buzz is already building.  All but one team member will be back for this season.  We have already made plans to play all the PSP National events, as well as AXBL, and MSXL.
